| 内容記述 | 集団で意思決定を行う場合には必ずしも「三人寄れば文殊の知恵」にはならない。Janis (72，19)がアメリカの政策決定過程に着目しこの現象を集団的浅慮(oupthi)と名付けて以来、社会心理学の分野では様々な研究が行なわれてきた。本稿では集団的浅慮現象とその後の研究を紹介するとともに、従来の研究に含まれていた「情報処理パラダイムの陥穽」を指摘する。最後に、今後の集団研究の方向性として「意味構築パラダイム」への移行を展望する。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | While "two heads may be better than one," just as often "too many cooks spoil the stew." Groups do not always decide more wisely than do individuals. This point has been made most cogently by Janis (1972, 1982) in his analysis of defective decision making by group at high levels of government in America. He called this type of decision process Groupthink. The present paper describes Groupthink and reviews the relevant social psychological literature. It notes that most studies examine the phenomenon within an "information-processing" paradigm and points out the pitfalls of this approach. Finally, it suggests that a "meaning-making" approach may be a more useful way to explain Groupthink. | |||||||
