本研究では絶滅したニホンオオカミをはじめとした 8 種の動物の頭蓋骨と剥製や写真上の頭部形状に現れる曲線の比較 ・ 分析を行った．次に，その結果に基づいて和歌山大学が所蔵するニホンオオカミの頭蓋骨から正確な頭部形状を推定した．さらに CG で頭部形状を 3D モデル化し，再現するとともにニホンオオカミの全身形状も CG 上で創成して，“歩く”，“走る” といったモーション付けを行い，展示のための検討を行っている． |

In this research, we conducted comparison and analysis between curves on the skulls and curves on the head forms of stuffed animals or photographs of eight sorts of animals including the extinct Japanese wolf. Next, we inferred an exact head form from the Japanese wolf's skull that Wakayama University possesses based on the result, and created 3D models of the head form in computer graphics. Furthermore, we will create 3D models of Japanese wolf's whole body in addition to the exact head form, and put 3D models in motion such as walk and run, and consider the application for the exhibition. |
