近年，研究データの再現性と再利用性を支えるプラットフォーム開発が国際的に進んでいる．研究データプラットフォームの機能開発に当たっては，研究データの管理，公開，検索といった汎用性の高いサービスドメインを繋ぐ設計を行うことが重要である．しかしながら，各分野で実践されるデータキュレーション活動は互換性が乏しく，タスクや手順が断片化していたり，暗黙知になっていたりする場合が多い．各分野の実践を汎化していくためには，断片化したタスクや手順を統合し，明文化していくステップが必要である．著者らは，断片化したタスクや手順を統合するためのアプローチとして，様々な分野のデータキュレーション活動を表現するデータキュレーションプロセスオントロジーの構築を行ってきた．オントロジーは複数の情報システム間で知識を共有するための手法として，知識工学分野で広く支持されている理論である．研究データプラットフォーム開発においても，同オントロジーに基づいてプロセス間のマッピングを進めることで，複数の分散されたサービスドメインを繋ぎ，汎用性の高いプラットフォーム設計に繋がる可能性がある．そこで本研究では，著者らが開発に関わる NII Research Data Cloud を題材に，同オントロジーに基づく総合的な機能開発の手法について報告する．著者らは，まずデータキュレーションプロセスオントロジーに基づいて，NII Research Data Cloud 開発担当者によって収集された機能要件を分析した．さらに，分析の結果から得られた機能群と NII Research Data Cloud で用いているドメインモデルとの整合性を評価した．加えて，分析から得られた機能群に対応するオープンソースソフトウェアについて考察した．このようなアプローチを採用することにより，サービスドメインの汎用性を維持しながら断片化したタスクや手順を統合し，明文化することが可能になる．ひいては，研究データの再現性と再利用性の向上に繋がることが期待できる． |

In recent years, there has been international progress in developing platforms that support the reproducibility and reusability of research data. In developing the functionality of research data platforms, it is crucial to design them to connect highly versatile service domains such as research data management, publication, and discovery. However, data curation activities practiced in various fields are often incompatible, with fragmented tasks and procedures and tacit knowledge. In order to generalize the practices of each field, it is necessary to integrate and clarify the fragmented tasks and procedures as a step. As an approach for integrating fragmented tasks and procedures, the authors have developed the data curation process ontology to represent data curation activities in various fields. Ontology is a widely supported theory in the field of knowledge engineering as a method for sharing knowledge between multiple information systems. In research data platform development, mapping between processes based on ontology may connect multiple distributed service domains and lead to a highly versatile platform design. In this study, the authors report on a comprehensive functional development method based on the NII Research Data Cloud. The authors first analyzed the functional requirements collected by the NII Research Data Cloud developers based on the data curation process ontology. Furthermore, the authors assess consistency between the functional groups obtained from the analysis and the domain model used in the NII Research Data Cloud. Additionally, the authors discuss the open-source software corresponding to the functional groups obtained from the analysis. This approach makes it possible to integrate and articulate fragmented tasks and procedures while maintaining the generality of the service domain. In turn, it is expected to improve the reproducibility and reusability of research data. |
