札幌市は UNESCO メディアアーツ都市として 3 年毎に札幌国際芸術祭(以下 SIAF)を開催している．本研究は SIAF の活動で小中学生向けに開発した「自分だけの雪の結晶をつくろう」と題したテキスト型言語を活用したプログラミング教育の授業に関する評価と報告を行う．本稿では、2023 年度における学習環境の開発の経緯と、札幌市内と 近郊の小学校 10 校と中学校 1 校で行った実証授業のうち受講後のアンケート結果が得られた小学生 425 名について、 授業で感じた楽しさと難しさについて分析を行った．アンケート結果からは、楽しさを感じる子の多くが活動内容のある程度の難しさを肯定的に捉えていることが示唆された． |

As a UNESCO Media Arts City, Sapporo hosts the Sapporo International Art Festival (SIAF) every three years. This study evaluates a programming class titled "Let's Make Your Own Snowflake," developed for elementary and junior high school students as part of SIAF activities. The paper describes the development of this learning environment in fiscal 2023 and analyzes the enjoyment and difficulty experienced by 425 elementary school students. These students attended a demonstration class at 10 elementary schools and 1 junior high school in Sapporo and its suburbs. The questionnaire results indicated that many students who enjoyed the class also found it challenging. |
