| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to clarify the transitional process of urban modernization in temple town. I analyzed the characteristics of it by selecting Nagano City of Meiji-Taisyo era as a case study and clarified the next points. 1) Nagano City had developed on the outside areas of old temple town. 2) There is the strong continuity in the way of thinking about the site selection of main urban facilities and streets planning between before and after the Meiji-Restoration. 3) The main road to Zenkoji-temple in temple town remained the same and the important street in Nagano City in Taisyo era. 4) Railroad and the station had affected much effect on the direction of urban development. | |||||
