| 内容記述 | 小松英雄は,平安朝の和文文献は,書記様式として句読点の存在しない,「連接構文」のテキストであり,句読点をつけることは不要かつその表現性を無視することになるとする。しかし,句読点の存在しないことが句読をおこなうこと自体を否定するものではない。また,現代語のような句点で文をくぎること自体はおこなわないものの,用言等の終止形だけでなく,ほかの構文的な条件の存在によって,そこで文がくぎられることがしめされる場合がある。句読点のような文のきれつづきを明示する符号の存在しないことで,構文的な自在性は保持しつつも,文の終止もしめすことのできるのが,和文の構文的な特徴であったとかんがえられる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Komatsu Hideo assumes that the Japanese literature of the Heian Period uses a text of "connection syntax" in which punctuation does not exist as a stylistic element, because it is unnecessary and therefore does not receive expression. However, that punctuation does not appear to exist does not mean that its function is ignored. Moreover, although a sentence does not exhibit the forms of punctuation like the modern language, not only the predicative form of declinable words etc. but also other syntactic elements perform the function of punctuation. It can be thought that it was a syntactic feature of Japanese to have the ability to maintain syntactic flexibility by using grammatical agreement instead of punctuation marks to show whether a sentence terminates or continues. | |||||
