| 値 | Before the great leading character of the Israelites named Moses appeared in Exodus, Yahwe worked to keep alive all the creatures on the earth which He had created out of the disordered universe. Among them were a man and a woman who God made in his own image. Moses was always under the control of Yahwe, as if grasped firmly by the hands of God. That is how God's love was revealed to Moses. And the Israelites following Moses were also willing to receive it with a humble mind, just as Moses did. In Exodus, the word ‘hand’ is used as many as 95 times, including references to God, Moses and people of Israel. Some other words relating to the life of human beings, such as ‘life’ (9 times), ‘to die’ (20 times), ‘to kill’ (18 times) are also used there. It is in ‘Ten Commandments' that Yahwe shows the moral code to be obeyed by those who believe in Him and live with Him. Those commandments, given to Moses by God, comfirm that the absolute ruler to lead us is Jahwe, the Creator. |
