| 値 | The Keicho Chokuhan Nihonshoki is a printed text of the first two books of the Nihonshoki published in 1599 under the order of the Emperor Goyozei. An edition of this text in the collection of the Seikido Bunko has Kunten (marks indicating how to render Chinese text into Japanese) added in the 18th century. These Kunten use as their source of reference to hand-written copies of the Nihonshoki from the medieval period. These indicate how, from the middle ages to the Edo Period, Kunten for the Nihonshoki were made more simplified and systematic especially with regard to Kana orthography and rules for Wokototen. |
