| 内容記述 | 近世に入って徒然草が一般に広く読まれるようになると、絵画にも描かれるようになった。徒然草の絵画作品（「徒然絵」）には、挿絵・絵巻・屏風・画帖・色紙などさまざまな形態がある。本稿は、従来その存在が知られていなかった徒然草の淡彩色紙二十九葉（笛吹川芸術文庫所蔵）を紹介し、それぞれの色紙が徒然草のどの章段を描いているのかを特定するとともに、他の徒然絵と比較することによって、構図や描写の特徴を考察する。それによって、この新出の淡彩色紙の独自性や、他の徒然絵との影響関係を明らかにしたい。徒然絵を通して、文学作品としての徒然草にも新たな角度から光を当てることが可能となる。 | |||||

| 値 | KeRko's Tsurezuregusa (Essays in Idleness) was widely read in the Edo Period and was appreciated as works of art as it was painted for the folding screens and shikishi (square of heavy decorative paper for pictures and calligraphy). The number of its pictorial representation is however relatively small. In the summer of 2006 the author discovered the hitherto unknown twenty-nine leaves of Tsurezuregusa shikishi at an antiquarian book fair. They are now held by the Fuefukigawa Library of Arts. This article introduces some of the results from the investigation into this newly discovered collection of shikishi which are here temporaryliy called the Light-coloured Shikishi of Tsurezuregusa. The characteristics and artistic values of the Light-coloured Shikishi of Tsurezuregusa discussed in this article are summarized in three points: first, they depict the sections in the first half of the book; secondly, the pictures were painted on the model of the illustrations for Nagusamigusa (Amusement Grass), a book of annotations to Tsurezuregusa; and lastly, compared to other pictures of Tsurezuregusa, the composition and the depiction of people in this collection show a unique artistic individnality. |
