| 「大学全入時代」を迎えた日本の大学では，リメディアル教育をはじめ，学力の質を担保する取組みが行われている．現在，ソーシャルワーカーを養成している大学で，公民科目（現代社会，倫理， 政治・経済）をリメディアル教育に採用している大学は，ほぼ皆無である．ソーシャルワーカーに求められる知識や社会の理解は，高校までの学習を基礎に専門的な知識を積み上げるものであり，基礎的な知識や理解がないままに学んでも体系的な理解にはつながらない可能性がある．このような問題意識から，X大学 A学科では，現代社会のリメディアル教育を導入した．本稿は，2017年度と2018 年度に実施したリメディアル教育の取組みを紹介し，その効果を考察したものである．いずれの年度も入学前学習の課題として社会保障制度に関するワークシートを作成し，入学予定者を対象としたスクーリングのミニ講義で課題の内容を確認した．そして初年次教育科目（基礎ゼミナールⅠ）の初回に基礎学力テストを実施した．さらに，基礎ゼミナールⅠの授業でテストの振り返りと社会保障に関するグループワークを実施した後，確認テストを行った．2回のテスト結果を統計的に分析したところ， 2018年度は，確認テストの平均が上昇し，リメディアル教育の効果が確認された．ただし，2回のテストとも成績の低い学生が全体の15％程度おり，基礎学力不足の学生には別途支援の必要があると考えられる． | ||||||||

| In Japan, universities have attempted to ensure the quality of academic ability, including remedial education. At present, very few universities in Japan are training social workers and adopting Civics courses such as the Contemporary Society for Remedial Education. However, the knowledge required of social workers builds up the specialized knowledge based on education up to high school. Students without basic knowledge may not have a systematic understanding. With this in mind, Department A of University X launched remedial education. Thus, this paper introduces the efforts of remedial education conducted in 2017 and 2018, discussing its effects. Each year, we created a worksheet on the social security system as a subject for pre-entry learning and confirmed it in a schooling mini-lecture for prospective students. Afterwards, a basic academic test was conducted at the beginning of the first-year educational class. Furthermore, in the class, we reviewed the test and conducted group work on social security, and a test to verify knowledge was administered. A statistical analysis of the results of the two tests showed that the average grade increased for students in 2018. However, both tests showed that about 15% of the students had low grades, indicating that it was necessary to provide support. | ||||||||
