| 内容記述 | This study aimed to find out how university faculty and staff encourage university students to use the student counseling center. A total of 78 university faculty and staff members participated. They were presented with the questions:“ What difficulties do you experience when encouraging students to use the student counseling center?” and “What do you do to encourage students to use the student counseling center?” The analysis of the open-ended responses indicated that the answers fell into seven categories: 1）Forming a trusting relationship regularly, 2）Involving other departments, 3）Lowering the barriers of use, 4）Explaining the benefits of use, 5）Emphasizing confidentiality, 6）Respecting autonomy, 7）Recommending actual student utilization. Furthermore, the result indicated the various ways of encouraging college students to use the student counseling center—before, during, and after recommending it. Finally, the implications of these findings are discussed. | |||||
