| 内容記述 | 承前 : 研究の目的・意図等については前稿(『山形大学紀要(教育科学)』第13巻・第2号所収。pp145-162。2003年2月刊)の冒頭に記したので, ここに贅言を重ねることはしない。ただし, 凡例のみは便宜上, 今一度載せることとした。今回の考察は第6章から10章までの5章である。 凡例 ◎訳注の底本には, 今村嘉雄『日本武道大系』第二巻・剣術(2)(同朋舎, 1982)に収録された, 京都鈴鹿家所蔵本『一刀斎先生剣法書』を用いた。但し, 句読点は適宜に改めた箇所がある。また, 参考資料として杉浦正森『唯心一刀流太刀之巻』を用いたが, これも『日本武道大系』第二巻所収のテキストに拠る。ちなみに『一刀斎先生剣法書』は寛文四年(1664)に, 『唯心一刀流太刀之巻』は天明三年(1783)に稿成ったものである。 ◎本書は16章から成るが，これを適宜に段落に分かち，そこに語注，現代語訳，そして必要に応じて補説を加えた。 ◎語注は長尾が担当し, 補説は竹田が担当した。現代語訳は両者で検討, 吟味した上, ここに掲出した。なお, 抄訳ではあるが, 本書の現代語訳を試みたものに, 吉田豊『武道秘伝書』(徳間書店, 1968)があり，適宜に参照した。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This report is the modern translation of ”Ittousai sensei kenpousyo (「一刀斎先生剣法書」)” from chapter 6 to 10, which is regarded as the precedent form of modern Kendo instructions. The authors tried to give the realistic meanings and contents to the terms and technics in the document. 1. ”Kotowari (「理」)” should not be above ”Waza (「事」)” and also ”Tai (「体」)” should not be beyond ”Ken (「剣」)”. Too much dependency of theory and corporal competence will bring defeat in the sword technic． 2．The victory will come when we take offensive action with ”Waza (「事」)”, and guard with ”Kotowari (「理」)”, which we call ”Zan (「残」)”. If we take offensive action with ”Waza (「事」) and ”Kotowari (「理」)” simultaneously, we will be beaten. We definite it condition as ”Fuzan (「不残」)”. On the contrary, ”Zan (「残」)” means the situation of good balance and ”Fuzan (「不残」)” with no balance. 3．”Sen (「先」)” and ”Go (「理」)” stand as separate ones, but both exist as a whole one. One of two factors is adapted to the situations. which one we should take properly depends on opponents' movement. 4．”Sen (「先」)” and ”Go (「理」)” also has other discrimination of ”Tai (「体」)” and ”You (「用」)”. | |||||||||
