| 内容記述 | Summary : This paper illustrates the actual situation and challenges faced by adult musical groups, particularly, amateur orchestras. The aim of this paper is to propose ways to improve and support their activities. The author researched on the H City Orchestra, a musical group the author is involved in, and discusses and summarizes this case study in the paper. In particular, the author focuses on the motivation behind members' musical performances and practice sessions. Furthermore, the author researches on the proper future course for orchestra activities and sheds light on the path its members wish to see taken. Moreover, by extending the scope of research to 44 bands in the westerm part on west area of Tokyo, in Tama district, and taking up concerns shared by each of these groups, especially particular articulating the challenges faced when recruiting members, this paper discusses the future and ways of assisting adult orchestra activities. | |||||||
