| 内容記述 | 長野県東筑摩郡『神社誌』は、柳田国男および文部省国民精神文化研究所哲学科助手堀一郎、東京高等師範学校講師和歌森太郎の指導・助言により、東筑摩教育会が昭和一八年度から実施した『東筑摩郡誌別篇』氏神篇編纂事業のなかで作成されたもので、東筑摩郡内の一七一社におよぶ氏子を有する神社である氏神一社ごとに「総記」「神職」「祭」「神社をめぐる氏子生活」「祝殿」の五項目に関する氏子の語りを、東筑摩教育会教員が記録した「神社誌」である。 東筑摩郡『神社誌』が平成一八年三月に刊行された国立歴史民俗博物館基幹研究「戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料論的研究」の『翻刻資料集』二に収録された理由は、『神社誌』が国立歴史民俗博物館基幹研究資料報告書一四『戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料調査』と同じく「戦争体験の語り」に関する貴重な記録であること、および『神社誌』が戦時下の氏神が果たした機能、戦時下の氏神信仰と祭祀の諸相、氏子制度・隣組・部落会、学校など氏神を支える社会的基盤を考察できる「戦時中に書かれた記録」であることによる。 本稿は、右のような問題意識をふまえ、東筑摩郡寿村（現松本市）『神社誌』を対象に、八冊におよぶ寿村『神社誌』の記述を、『戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料調査』と『神社誌』における話者の語り方の位相に着目しながら、役場・学校所蔵資料などの記録（資料）と語り（記憶）の視点から検討する作業を通じて、『神社誌』の資料論的意義を考察したものである。 戦時下の氏神に関する氏子（個人）の語りは、どのようなプロセスをへてムラ（集団）の語りとして記述され、東筑摩郡『神社誌』という記録（資料）に結実したのだろうか。 |

| 内容記述 | The “Shrine Journals” of Higashichikuma-gun were produced as part of the ujigami volumes of the “Higashichikuma-gun Journals” project launched in 1943 by the Higashichikuma Educational Association with the assistance of Kunio Yanagida, Ichiro Hori, an assistant in the Philosophy Department of the Institute for the Study of the Culture of the National Spirit, Ministry of Education and Taro Wakamori, a lecturer at the Tokyo Higher Normal School. Teachers belonging to the Higashichikuma Educational Association produced these shrine journals by recording the narratives of the parishioners of the 171 shrines located in Higashichikuma-gun. Records for each ujigami shrine were recorded under the five headings of “General Records”, “Shinto Priests”, “Festivals”, “The Role of the Shrine in Parishioners' Lives” and “Buildings of Worship”. The “Shrine Journals” of Higashichikuma-gun were included in the “Collection of Reprinted Written Materials-2” that is part of the NMJH basic research project “Study of Written Materials Related to the Records and Narratives of War Experiences” published in March 2006. They were included for several reasons. Firstly, as with NMJH's basic research report 14 “Survey of Written Materials Related to Records and Narratives of War Experiences”, they are a valuable record of narratives on war experiences. Secondly, they are records that were written during war time, and as such enable us to examine the role played by ujigami during war time, various aspects of religious beliefs and rites during war time, and the parishioner system, neighborhood associations, hamlet associations, schools and other organizations which provided social support for the ujigami. Focusing on the above, this paper examines the significance of eight volumes of “Shrine Journals” from Kotobuki village (present-day Matsumoto City) in Higashichikuma-gun as written materials from the perspective of the records (written materials) and narratives (memories) held in the collections of the local administration and schools. At the same time, it considers the topology of the narrative styles of the narrators of the “Shrine Journals” and the “Survey of Written Materials Related to Records and Narratives of War Experiences”. This paper asks through which kind of processes the shrine-related narratives of parishioners (individuals) during wartime were recorded as narratives of the village (group) and became the records (written materials) called the “Shrine Journals” of Higashichikuma-gun reconstruction and reorganization. |
