| 内容記述 | The yield of rice in Kyrgyz Republic is the least in Central Asia. However the rice produced at Uzugen in Kyrgyzstan, Uzugenn-rice is estimated high among people in Central Asia. If Uzugen-rice is not used to cook prov, a kind of rice dish, for guest, a host will be put to shame. The ploy cooked with Uzugen-rice is essential for festivals and a wedding reception too. In August 1997, I visited Uzugen and Fergana in Uzbekistan and looked at the rice cultivation there. This report gives the following contents. 1. The state of rice cultivation in Central Asia. 2. The estimation of Uzugen-rice in Central Asia. 3. The complaint of rice farmers in Kyrgyzstan. 4. The kinds of main rice dishes in Central Asia. | |||||
