| 内容記述 | 本稿では7 世紀に築造され、18世紀初頭（江戸時代）に石室が修復された埼玉県坂戸市の浅羽野1 号墳（土屋神社古墳）の事例を紹介する。この古墳では天井石に残された銘文によって1707年に信州高遠の石工によって石室が修復されたことが判明している。古墳が過去に修復された事例はわが国に存在するが、本事例は極めて珍しい事例である。その理由は修復の時期や石工名が判明していること、そして石材が転用されて石像が製作されたことである。また、修復の契機となったのが当時頻発していた地震災害による古墳の被害であることも重要な点である。このように、本事例は古墳と江戸時代の人々の関係、さらには遺跡と自然災害の関係を知ることができる興味深い事例である。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this paper, I introduce Asabano No.1 Kofun (Tsuchiya jinja Kofun) in Sakado city, Saitama Prefecture which was built in the 7 th century and the stone chamber was restored at the beginning of the 18th century (Edo period). It has become clear that it was restored by the masonry of Takato, Shinshu (Nagano Prefecture) in 1707, by the inscription of a ceiling stone of the stone chamber. Although the example where the ancient tumulus was restored in the past exists in our country, this is a very new example. One reason is that the restoring age and masonry name have become clear, and another reason it that the construction stone was reused for stone statue. Moreover, it is important also that the damage of the stone chamber caused by the seismic hazard which had occurred frequently those days became an opportunity of restoration. Thus, this is an interesting example which can know the relation between ancient tumulus and people of the Edo period, and also the relation between archaeological site and natural disaster. | |||||||||||
